The owners renovated, refurbished and equipped the cottage in 2012 to a very high standard, achieving a 4 star Gold accolade status from Visit Britain, but it has retained its original character. It is situated 3 miles west of the historic city of Carlisle, in the picturesque village of Kirkandrews-on-Eden, which lies on Hadrian’s Wall, the Vallum and on the Cumbrian Coastal Path. The village is close to the Solway Firth, with numerous nature reserves and bird life sanctuaries in the area and 7 acres of land to roam adjoining the property. There is a pub in the next village and more amenities and places of interest in Carlisle, easily accessible, only 3 miles away.
